What a beautiful day it was for some good ol' fashioned pillaging. As the news of the dome broke and people realized it was a real threat to their way of life they proceeded to act just the way God intended, as imbeciles. This coming as great news to Aidan who had his connections cut from his offshore legal and very trustworthy connections. [break][break]

Getting through the crowds wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Pushing his way here and there, shoving some kids in the face and bumping into grandmas turned out to be the most efficient and direct way for him to approach his several destinations inside the store. After a brief trip to the cereal isle, Aidan would find himself at one of the most important ingredient and part of a meal that he could think of. The milk.[break][break]

"OI OI! What's happening here!?" Aidan would look towards a middle aged man hoarding the last few boxes filled with milk cartons and a few milk jugs already in their shopping cart. "Guy, I will ask you nicely to put down that milk before I bash your head in and put you down instead..." Aidan would say towards the guy with the most nonchalant and deadpan face ever, not a care in the world that his own cart was already filled with toilet paper and several boxes of cereal he had acquired prior. Only Arceus knew how many people he had already threatened to get those items. Like a flower he bloomed in chaos.[break][break]

Generally, groceries are delivered right to his door, but human error truly can be an impossible to defeat enemy, and it’s so very easy for this or that item to be missed in the weekly list. One thing. They had forgotten one thing. And, while Mars could easily live without it, since there happens to be a store on his way out of Slateport, making a quick stop seems advisable.

He had forgotten all about the fools who, unlike him, hadn’t prepared for possible catastrophic circumstances and were only now trying to stockpile on supplies. Idiots. They should have known better, given the track record of the Hoenn region.

He’s here for some yogurt, that’s all. He’ll avoid the chaos, make his way to the dairy aisle, grab a tub of a nice organic one, and head off. It should be simple.

This was easily the best thing about an incoming apocalypse, not that he had been part of many of those or that he wanted to be part of many more after this one. Apocalypses were meant to be one in a lifetime thing he'd think. Alas, he needed to find himself his favorite foods and things of great importance such as the already acquired toilet paper and the ever needed milk, sure he wouldn't let it go bad, calcium was required after all.[break][break]

After the random milk stock piller "volunteered" to let go of Aidan's milk he would hear a very familiar voice, not a voice he expected to ever hear again. Looking up from the milky heaven that was his shopping cart. Fully expecting for there to be some form of mistake, surely a crazy coincidence, but no, no such luck in a place like Hoenn.[break][break]

"Sir? Martin... The fuck?" Sure he had heard rumors among the alleys and back streets that Martin had moved to Hoenn and he had seen it with his own two eyes at the splashfest.As of this moment, that was not the mystery he wanted to unravel. "Why are you here? Last I checked the higher ups didn't get their hands dirty." He did actually meant with the shopping and not with any kind of illegal activities that Mars could have kept up after moving to Hoenn. [break][break]

He truly wanted to go about his day as weird hoarder but he really couldn't after such a fateful meeting. "Should I be worried that you are here, sir? Finally getting rid of the last string that attaches everything?" Had his time finally come? After finally trying to spend some peaceful time for himself in the cursed region that was Hoenn, he'll forever cherish the many times he was dunked at the splashfest.[break][break]

Supernatural circumstances had turned Hoenn into a trap; capturing everyone within and leaving them unable to escape the apocalyptic threat that approaches. The clock is ticking. Doomsday approaches.

However, while all of this may indeed be true, it does not mean Martín del Mar will let go of everything he has carefully built and allow the world to see what lies beneath the image of the wealthy businessman who truly cares for the wellbeing of the region. Far from it, actually. These days, the sentiment of looking after Hoenn rings truer than ever, and he will do whatever it takes to ensure the region does not meet its end.

So, how does he respond to meeting someone from the life of Martín Marzán?

Simple enough.

”I was out of yogurt.” Is the simple explanation given, a brow being quirked when the tubbed is raised just so slightly for Aidan to see. Can’t have people grow suspicious when hearing comments about “getting his hands dirty” and all of that, can he? Anyone here could potentially recognize him, even if right now they’re acting like mindless zombies.

”Come on, let’s pay and go talk outside.”

He doesn’t bother with giving anymore explanations, he just continues walking down the aisle. On his way to the register, one of the aforementioned zombies is swiftly avoided, causing them to crash into a table that had once held a tower of soup cans. Not his problem.

Legends spoke of such meetings under incredible circumstances, some might say that a apocalyptic event would fit into such a category of incredible. It wasn't always that you meet someone of such high standards from your dark and grim past. Aidan knew that in public he'd been safe from most forms of attack when it came to the syndicate, he hoped at least. Knowing how their more shady side worked, going for a public takedown would have been incredibly risky, especially with Martín del Mar there. Aidan was likely safe for now.[break][break]

"I see. Yogurt is good for you after all." After all Aidan couldn't possibly judge someone else who was trying to acquire their dairy products. After all he was getting himself what a normal person would call a yearly stock of milk or a weekly stock of milk if you were a cheese maker, which Aidan was not. He was just a big fan.[break][break]

"Pay? Oh yeah sure, I was totally thinking about paying." Not he wasn't, not a single bit. I wasn't everyday that he'd get the chance to partake in the apocalyptic "sales".[break][break]

"Understood." Aidan would follow Mars towards the register with his cart filled with milk, the difference was that Aidan would just walk straight past the register. Like the many many people that were raiding the supermarket he wasn't about to pay, for once blending in meant he could do the bad thing and getting all that milk for free just seemed like a steal. Oce Mars would have made his way through the crazy crowds ad met with Aidan once again, he'd speak. "Is my vacation being cut short, sir?" Talking to anyone higher up than him had never been his forte but he did like being precise and straight to the point when it came to anyone connect to the syndicate and his past.[break][break]

It’s a matter of principle.

The cashier looks desperate and overwhelmed. He clearly wants to stop people from walking out of the store without paying for their products, but he appears incapable of reining in the chaotic situation that has developed due to Hoenn’s state of crisis.

In all the chaos, Mars walks up to the register with all the calm in the world, giving the poor retail employee a cordial smile despite the fact that he’s well aware that Aidan is passing by right behind him with a shopping cart’s worth of milk. Polite as ever, P.O.G Bank’s CEO pays for his yogurt and even tips the cashier, taking a reusable bag and making his way out of the building.

That smile of his fades the moment he crosses the automatic doors.

When he finally meets up with Aidan, Mars just sighs heavily. ”You don’t need to call me ‘Sir’.”

Well, technically he should, given Mars’ position and the fact that they’re not exactly friends, but the correction is made for one particular reason.

He means Sinnoh’s syndicate, obviously.
